About Me
My name is Isabella, I am a senior Materials Science and Engineering major, and I will be graduating at the end of the semester. I don't have much experience in photography, but I've always been fond of it. My grandfather studied photography in college, and I've always thought it was such a special form of art and expression. I love shooting on film cameras, as I think it gives a lot of character to a photo, and makes it feel more tangible and personal somehow. I appreciate the art of photography and have always been fascinated by how creative the field can be.
Course Goals
In this course, I hope to be able to take photos with intention and care; to be able to connect different aspects and skills learned in this course and apply to my everyday life, so that I may capture life's beautiful moments in a meaningful way. I hope to be able to be able to play with light and perspective, and push the limits of what my iPhone camera is able to capture. I also am interested to learn about what makes a good photograph; and how I may apply the aspects of looking at others' photos so that I am able to improve my own. I look forward to what I will be able to accomplish by the time the semester concludes.
